How Does it work?

Acupuncture stimulates the flow of blood, qi and nutrients in to the face, energizing cell rejuvination and the production of elastin and collagen. it tightens the fibres which lift the facial tissue, So, the result is tighter muscle tone, less facial stress and a more rested, relaxed and a younger looking face. The benefits not only work cosmetically, but allow our inner beauty to shine out of the eyes that glitter and through an aura that glows because acupuncture treatment is deeply relaxing. And, it doesn't stop working once you've taken the needles out. It's a process which we all can do with, living and working in a modern world. We all know that when we look good, we feel good - and those 'feel good' endorphins spread out to play in all areas of our lives!

How is the Acupuncture Facial done and is it painful?

The results of cosmetic acupuncture really can be astonishing. The effect is a more natural, glowing lift. Extremely fine needles are placed on specific points of the face and on lines around the mouth, the frown line between the eyebrows and laughing lines around the eyes. Under eye bags can be reduced and a sagging chin stimulated to become more taught. Fine lines dissapear, deep lines soften and dry skin becomes more lustrous.

It's not painful! The treatment starts with a warm lavender and rose compress followed by insertion of the needles which are retained for about 20minutes. The needles are removed, followed by a gentle facial massage with a little lavender oil to the points. Pointson the hands and feet are gently massaged to make the experience all the more pampering!

A casehistory is taken before the treatment to find out if there are any imbalances in the body as points can be chosen to help a number of conditions. People report a marked improvement in their well being and reduced stress levels. Only sterile, disposable acupuncture needles are used.

How many treatments do i need?

For optimum results, a course of 5 treatments is reccomended followed by monthly or bi-monthly maintenance. The truth is, if you do this regularly, your face, skin,hair and general well being will continue to improve. You will know this because you will find that your friends start asking 'What have you been doing? You look great!'
